Sports flick festival in Iran reveals features

Latest edition of Tehran International FICT Festival has revealed lineup for features competing at the sport filmfest in Iran.

The fest list include movies such as Borzou Niknejad’s ‘Zapas’, ‘I Am an Iranian’ by Mohammad Reza Ahanj besides titles from India, Turkey, The Philippines and Malaysia.

11th International Sport Films Festival submissions have been made from 23 member countries including India, Japan, Nigeria, Malaysia, Lebanon, Turkey, South Africa, etc. It should be mentioned that India, Iraq and Turkey have had the highest number of submissions among the member countries.

Iran’s international sport film festival is the sole representative of sport films world federation FICTS which is considered to be the preliminary phase of the festival and is responsible for the selection of sport film productions in Iran, the Far East and the Middle East and is one of the 16 platforms in the world.

Iran’s sport fest will be held in January 15-18, directed by Seyed Mojtaba Alavi under the supervision of FICTS world federation in collaboration with the Olympic and Paralympic committee, the ministry of culture, the ministry of sports and youth, the ministry of labor and social affairs among other partners.
